Love As a Way Forward: CA Celebrates the Class of 2023 with Centennial Commencement Speaker André Robert Lee
Concord Academy’s 100th school year culminated in a heartwarming ceremony on May 26, 2023, when the CA community gathered in pride in Academy Garden to honor its newest graduates. Commencement speaker André Robert Lee spoke on the power of love as a way forward in a moving speech, followed by the awarding of the diplomas. Congratulations to the class of 2023!

This spring, Concord Academy’s Film/Dance/Music Co-Lab broke barriers with its multidisciplinary art collaboration. Dance program co-director Rika Okamoto’s Choreographer’s Workshop and Dance Technique classes created original dances to songs by music teacher Nate Tucker’s Digital Music Composition class. Students in the Special Topics: Cinematography course taught by film teacher Justin Bull P’25 used their creative lens to capture the action.

Throughout his career, Junger has created powerful portrayals of the impact of war. In an all-school assembly, he shared an uplifting message about how courage and connection prevail in times of conflict.

On May 4, CA spirit soared at Red and Blue Day. Senior leaders brought their A game to rallying the school, and the excitement was contagious, despite less than ideal weather. After an afternoon of competition and camaraderie, the festivities wrapped up with a dunk tank and the announcement of the Red team’s victory.
