Sarah Yeh, Interim Head of School P’24

Prior to becoming the interim head of school in 2020, Sarah served as CA’s assistant head; she previously held the positions at CA of dean of faculty, interim dean of faculty, and head of the History Department. Sarah came to CA in 2008 as a history teacher, following three years teaching history at Horace Mann in New York City. Still active in the classroom, she has taught courses on the Atlantic world, medieval and early modern Europe, early America, Ireland, and the Caribbean, among other topics in history.
CA has been part of Sarah’s life since long before she joined the faculty. She grew up hearing about Concord Academy from her mother, Mary Clark ’65, who described her educational experience at the school as the best of her life and spoke about the leadership and vision of former headmistress Elizabeth Hall. Sarah started on her administrative path out of her own love for CA and her desire to support the Concord Academy community.
Sarah earned her A.B. in History at Harvard-Radcliffe College, Harvard University, and her A.M. and Ph.D. at Brown University. Her doctoral research explored the construction of British identity in early modern Ireland and the Caribbean; a portion of this work was published in the journal The Historian and in Oxford University’s Press’s British North America in the Seventeenth and Eighteenth Centuries.
She lives on campus with her husband, Kevin Yeh, and their two children, Elspeth ’24 and Jeffrey.
