On April 28, the Bancroft School hosted CA in the second annual Spring Cup rivalry event on a cool and sunny afternoon. Teams competed in baseball, tennis, and lacrosse contests. With victories in four of five games, CA successfully defended the cup having won it in 2022.
Boys varsity tennis provided the Green with an early lead by winning the first game of the day in commanding style. Boys varsity lacrosse followed suit with a dominant win and a 2nd point for CA. The baseball team had jumped out to an early 5-0 lead and brought home the victory along with the 3rd point of the day for the Green. With the trophy already secured, girls varsity tennis won a hard-earned 3-2 victory while girls varsity lacrosse ultimately succumbed in a very close battle.
A great day of competitions between the EIL foes concluded with a short trophy presentation and the CA captains hoisted the Cup in celebration!
We look forward to continuing the tradition by hosting Bancroft for the Spring Cup competition in 2024.
