Sonia Lo ’84
Sonia Lo is the chief executive officer of Unfold Bio, Inc. a joint venture between Bayer and Temasek, which is developing the next generation of seeds for Delaware Department of Agriculture (DDA) farms. She was previously the chief executive of Sensei Ag (a greenhouse grower owned by Larry Ellison, founder of Oracle Corp), and Crop One Holdings, a leading vertical farming venture. Prior to that, she was managing partner of Chalsys LLP, an advisory and direct investment firm focusing on business building and asset management in sustainable food and agriculture. She has been an angel investor in 15 early stage companies, with four exits. She has served on three public and nine private company boards as a non-executive director, including currently serving on the board of Griffith Foods International, a 100+ year-old purpose-driven leader in flavorings, and Urban-Gro (NASD:UGRO), an architecture-led design-engineering firm serving the DDA sector. Sonia sold her first company in 2002 and was recognized as a Global Technology Pioneer by the World Economic Forum in Davos for two consecutive years. She has also been a director at Google, Inc., and the head of ventures for one of the U.K.’s largest media conglomerates.
