David Michaelis is the author of three bestselling biographies: N. C. Wyeth, Schulz and Peanuts, and Eleanor. His autobiographical writing has appeared in Best American Essays, and in collections, anthologies, and monographs about Boston, Nantucket, Central Park, the Manhattan of the New York Observer, The Beatles, Freud, and the painters Anne Packard, Jamie Wyeth, and Andrew Wyeth.
