CA sophomore Ricki Kundu ’22 was featured on February 24 in the Boston Globe for his mentorship of a group of boys living in an orphanage in India. Having competed in robotics competitions since he was in third grade, Ricki began teaching the boys, ages 12 to 15, using the programming language Scratch while visiting the region some four hours from Kolkata last summer. He continued giving lessons online from his home in Lexington, Mass., and with the Kundu family’s assistance, the team, the Antyodoy (Orphanage) Robot Masters, enrolled in the First Lego League robotic competition in New Delhi. This spring, 38 Concord Academy 12th graders demonstrated their love of learning by completing senior projects. These self-designed, faculty-supported programs offered students one-of-a-kind educational experiences. This year's presentations on May 14 in the Student Health and Athletic Center exemplified these seniors’ creativity, interdisciplinary thinking, and technical skills.
