Winter has arrived, thus we want to be sure all of you are aware of our winter weather procedures.
Because of the rapidly changing nature of weather forecasts, we withhold the decision and announcement until we are certain of the need to delay or close school. Sometimes this means making the decision the morning of the delay/closure. In these cases we will make the announcement no later than 6:00 a.m. on the morning of a snow day.
Snow day closure announcements are shared by the administration through the following sources:
You will receive an email and text message;
It is posted to the CA homepage;
It is posted to Concord Academy’s Facebook and Twitter accounts;
WBZ-TV News Channel 4, 7 News NBC/Channel 56 (CW), and WCVB-TV Boston NewsCenter 5, are notified; and
An email will be sent to All-School Official.
Please know that we make our decision based on what the road conditions and forecast are in and around Concord. It is possible that conditions are very different where some of our students commute from, thus we ask that you make a decision regarding the conditions in your area. If school is in session but your child will be delayed or absent due to weather, please follow our attendance procedures and call or email Jackie Decareau.
