CA’s four basketball teams and the coed varsity wrestling team set their sights on defending the Red Drum trophy this year after a huge win in the 2019 Battle of Lexington and Concord. Despite CA’s relentless effort across four basketball games, LCA secured the overall victory with four wins on the hardwood. The coed varsity wrestling team posted CA’s lone victory of the night with an exciting match. Having lost to LCA earlier in the season by a large margin, CA went into the match an underdog. CA’s young and much-improved team was undaunted, though, pulling out a convincing and redemptive victory in front of a spirited fan base. Another victory of the night was the raising of over $1,300 for the chosen charity, WIRES (Wildlife Information, Rescue and Education Service Inc) through the sale of “Battle” T-shirts designed by the Student Athletic Council.
