What are you involved in at CA?

I am the junior class representative as well as a co-head of SEAS (the Southeast Asian affinity group). I am also a part of the Men of Color Association, Medical Club, and CA’s track team.

Why did you choose CA?

I chose CA because my brother Theo ’18 showed me that CA is a place for many opportunities to take on that lead to a successful future. I was hesitant to apply at first because the thought of being away from my family for a long period of time scared me, but I do not regret anything. CA has truly brought me so many opportunities that I wouldn’t have gotten from a high school in my hometown.

What is your favorite boarding memory or tradition?

My favorite boarding tradition has to be house competitions organized by the Boarding Council. Whether it be a donut-eating house competition or dodgeball, they are so much fun and are a great way to bond with the rest of the boarding community.

Share a moment where you knew you belonged at CA.

A moment I knew I belonged was when I first stepped foot into my new boarding house, Admadjaja. I was greeted by the most welcoming Head of House on campus. His name was Josh and he made me feel so at home right away, frequently checking on me to make sure I was all right. He made a very good first impression of what the community members were like at CA, which reassured me and addressed any concerns I had at the time.
