What are you involved in at CA?

At CA, I am a member of the varsity lacrosse and wrestling teams. I am also a co-head of Crypto Club, where we meet to discuss the crypto market, as well as the stock market. I am a member of MOCA (Men of Color Alliance) and Alianza Latina, the Hispanic affinity group. 

Why did you choose CA?

I chose Concord Academy because CA allows me the opportunity to pursue a top-notch education in a welcoming and empathetic environment that prioritizes true learning over a test. Every teacher is truly passionate about each of their classes. Furthermore, I chose CA due to the wide variety of class choices that really allow me to study what I am most interested in.

What is the best class you’ve taken at CA and why?

My favorite class I have taken so far at CA was Russian History with Ed Rafferty during junior fall. I took this class at a particularly relevant time in world history, during the Russian invasion of Ukraine. We were able to use what we had studied about Russia hundreds of years ago to better understand the current situation. The class discussions were always engaging and the class made me more interested in Russian history, and more invested in the current situation.
