The Parents’ Independent School Network (PIN), a non-profit organization of independent schools in the Greater Boston area that provides parent education opportunities for its member schools, will hold a meeting at Beaver Country Day School, 791 Hammond Street, Chestnut Hill, MA, on Wednesday, October 2, beginning with coffee and conversation at 9:00 am, and the presentation at 9:30 am. All parents of PIN member schools are warmly invited to attend.

The topic of discussion will be “Supporting Your Child’s Social Development,” and will feature a discussion led by Caroline Maguire, ACCG, PCC, M.Ed., who – in addition to being an alumna of Beaver Country Day School – is a personal coach who works with children with ADHD and the families who support them. Her revolutionary coaching program and methodology help teach executive function skills to children, teenagers, and young adults. Caroline is a dynamic and engaging speaker who provides a wealth of insights and practical advice for helping parents support their children’s social development.

Are you wondering if your child is struggling socially? When should you step in and what can you do? Many kids struggle with friendships, and parents are left on the front lines without a guide book. If that describes you – then this talk is for you! Through step-by-step guidance, parents will learn how to help their child build social skills, use positive social behaviors, and become social problem solvers. Participants will walk away with tools to support their children in understanding peer relationships and developing friendships and successful social interactions.
