9:00-9:45 a.m. Welcome and a Conversation with School Leadership

What does equity mean at CA? CA is working to create a standard definition for our school to inform all elements of our program and community values. Come to hear about this important work from school leadership and the C&E committee of the Board of Trustees. Guest speakers include:

  • Sarah Yeh P’24, Interim Head of School
  • Peter Boskey ’08, Interim Co-Director of Community and Equity
10:00-10:30 a.m. Meet and Greet: Alumnae/i and Students of Color

An opportunity for alumnae/i and students to meet and network prior to the breakout sessions. We’re excited to share a new online platform called Toucan which will make this part of the program new and more interactive!

    10:30 a.m.-11:10 a.m. Breakout #1
    • Activism Then & Now — Experiences in Social Justice at CA: We hope you’ll share how activism has evolved since you were a CA student, discuss the effects of social media activism, and how we can come together to build a more just future.
    • Navigating Life After CA: Reflections from recently graduated alumnae/i of color on their experiences in higher education. This is open to young alumnae/i from the Classes of 2010-2020.

    11:20 a.m.-12:00 p.m. Breakout #2
    Choose one of the following:
    • Mentoring and Networking Session: Insights from alumnae/i in their fields. Sign up for this session to share your experiences and advice as a person of color in your field.
    • Building Communities Within Communities: Were you a part of an affinity group during your time at CA? Learn what affinity spaces are like today, and discuss what it takes to build connections among these groups, the boarding community, and other campus partners.
    12:00 -12:30 p.m. Alumnae/i Program Updates and Concluding Q&A

    Trelane Clark ’92, P’22 and Paolo Sanchez ’14, Co-Chairs of the Alumnae/i C&E Committee, will discuss C&E goals and upcoming alumnae/i programming and initiatives. Attendees will have the opportunity to reflect back on the sessions, ask questions, and network with fellow alumnae/i of color.
