We had a wonderful first meeting of the CA Parents Book Club on Friday, October 11, during Parents Weekend in the Stu-Fac with more than 15 parents in attendance. We are very appreciative to CA history teacher Topi Dasgupta for facilitating our discussion of Just Mercy by Bryan Stevenson. It was also fascinating to hear from Jake Sussman P’20 (Julia ’20) about his past work with Attorney Stevenson. The next meeting of the CA Parents Book Club will take place on Tuesday, November 19, at 6:00 p.m. at the home of Peter and Michele Scavongelli P’20 (Missy ’20). Their home is very close to CA, and the address will be provided after you RSVP. Based on the feedback of attendees at the first meeting, we will be discussing The Water Dancer by Ta-Nehisi Coates.
