The Concord Academy Alumnae/i Association is delighted to host its annual Alumnae/i Association Assembly on Friday of reunion weekend for CA graduates across all class years. An evolution of the annual meeting, this new program is a chance to bring alumnae/i together to hear updates from school leadership, connect with the Alumnae/i Steering Committee, and take part in the ongoing community-wide conversation about CA’s future. The program will include the presentation of the 2020 Joan Shaw Herman Award, and the alumnae/i community will vote on the Alumnae/i Association officers for terms commencing on July 1, 2020. CA Honors Journalist Richard Read ’75 with the 2024 Joan Shaw Herman Award
On May 10, two-time Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Richard Read ’75 accepted the Joan Shaw Herman Award for Distinguished Service at an all-school assembly. The Joan Shaw Herman Award—the only award CA gives—underscores CA’s mission of doing good work in service to others.
