Lacoste Keane Gallery, located in the Concord town center, is pleased to present an art exhibition featuring five female Japanese artists working in the medium of clay. The opening reception at the gallery will be Saturday, December 7, from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m., and an artist talk and panel discussion will take place in the Ransome Room at Concord Academy on Sunday, December 8, from 2:00 to 4:00 pm.

All artists have never shown before in the USA, making this a very special event. The artists in the exhibition are Ikuko Ando, Eri Dewa, Kiyoko Morioka, Aya Murata, and Hiroko Nakazato.

Traditionally in Japan, breaking into the male-dominated field of ceramics, forging a career, and making a name for oneself as a female artist is a challenging feat. These artists defy the odds to produce art that speak of their technical brilliance and artistic individuality.

All events are open and free to the public.
