On Friday, November 8, and Saturday, November 9, the Concord Academy community enjoyed the fall 2019 mainstage production: one of Shakespeare’s great comedies, A Midsummer Nights’s Dream, directed by CA theater teacher Megan Schy Gleeson. In a series of madcap mixups, lovers flee Athens and societal bounds, only to find themselves caught up in magic and mischief. Confused identities, a quarreling fairy queen and king, along with a motley group of amateur thespians rehearsing a play, all find their way in and through the forest. CA’s Green Club led a pre-show discussion about climate change before each evening’s performance. View photos from the show below.
