Each year, alums contribute to the life of the school, both on campus and within the greater CA community. We are proud to share the contributions of our alum network in this 2024–25 Report of the Alum Association.
The Alum Association fosters lifelong connections between Concord Academy and its alum community. The Association facilitates meaningful opportunities to preserve and promote a love of learning, service to others, and a commitment to diverse perspectives and backgrounds. Through involvement in the life of the school, within the community, and through service to the greater world, the Association strives to renew and affirm the core values instilled while at CA.
Revised June 2024
In alignment with CA’s mission of striving for equity, the Alum Association voted to update the Alum Association bylaws at the annual Alum Association Assembly in June 2024.

Co-Chair, Concord Academy Young Alum Community (CAYAC)
Originally from Cambridge, Mass., Nicky now lives in Brooklyn, where he works for Williamstown Theatre Festival. Nicky’s family recently relocated to Concord, so when he visits them he likes to walk around and check in on campus. Nicky previously served on the Alum Steering Committee as the New England Regional co-chair and is looking forward to his new role with the CAYAC Committee.
Co-Chair, New England Regional
A former CA Alum Association Student Representative, Ollie will rejoin the Alum Steering Committee as Co-Chair of the New England Region. After two years at Haverford College and a subsequent transfer to Wesleyan University, Ollie graduated this May with a B.A. in philosophy and plans to teach. He can be found at Haute Coffee in Concord, where he works between writing graduate school applications for Ph.D. programs and publishing essays online.
Co-Chair, Concord Academy Young Alum Community (CAYAC)
Shreya is a recent graduate of Swarthmore College, with a degree in chemistry and minors in art history and French and francophone studies. She has volunteered on the CAYAC committee since her CA graduation and has organized alum events in several cities. Some of her favorite Concord haunts are Barrow Bookstore, Caffè Nero, and New London. Shreya looks forward to stepping into a new role as CAYAC co-chair and serving a larger role in the alum community.
Co-Chair, Alum Community and Equity
Aisha is a regulatory lawyer and law firm owner specializing in regulatory matters for financial institutions and technology providers. She attended Concord Academy as a Daniel Murphy Scholar and is incredibly fond of her experience, cherishing not only her friends and mentors but also the confidence she gained from student leadership, championing inclusivity and belonging, and honoring her curiosities. From CA, Aisha went on to graduate from Northwestern University and the University of Wisconsin Law School.
In addition to serving as co-chair of the Alum Community and Equity Committee, Aisha sits on the Daniel Murphy Scholarship Fund board of directors. She also serves in various capacities with the American Bar Association and Women’s Bar Association of the District of Columbia.
As we welcome new officers and leadership, Concord Academy would also like to thank those alums who will be stepping down from their roles. Through your hard work, dedication, and service to CA, you acted as our greatest partners, cheerleaders, and supporters. We appreciate all you have done for the school.

Established in 1976, the Joan Shaw Herman Award for Distinguished Service is presented annually to a member of the CA community. The school’s only award recognizes the work of CA graduates who have demonstrated dedication to service to others in either a professional or volunteer capacity.

This year’s recipients, Leslie Taylor Davol ’87 and Sam Davol ’88, were honored with the 2025 Joan Shaw Herman Award for Distinguished Service on April 28 for their commitment to activating public spaces and improving lives in low-income urban neighborhoods. From creating a storefront reading room in a neighborhood without a library, the Davols’ commitment to fostering community engagement around the value of learning steadily grew. Two decades later, through their nonprofit organization, Street Lab, they now field more than a thousand requests a year from individuals and groups asking for their help creating pop-up experiences that connect neighborhoods and enliven communities through reading, learning, art, and physical activity. Street Lab’s model is spreading around the world. As Sam said during their assembly talk, “If you’re unafraid to start small, caring for the places right around you, your neighborhood, your block, things have a way of unfolding and growing from there.”
A special thank you to the 2024–25 Joan Shaw Herman Award Selection Committee:

What a joy it is each year, as news and photos from CA alums across the decades, around the world, come into CA via the dedicated efforts of our class secretary volunteers. We are grateful to class secretaries for your thoughtful, caring dedication to this annual process, culminating in the class notes section of the summer edition of CA Magazine.
Interested in becoming a class secretary? There are always opportunities to get involved, whether by supporting a longtime classmate in the role or stepping in when a classmate’s availability has changed. To learn more, reach out: class_secretary@concordacademy.org.

The CAYAC Committee meets regularly throughout the year to lead and support CA’s young alum community and keep them connected to each other and the school. This year, they assisted in planning regional gatherings in Boston and New York, where alums from the classes of 2010–2024 reconnected, reminisced, and engaged in a little friendly competition on the bowling lanes. They also fostered support of the 2024–25 Annual Fund, encouraging their fellow young alums to join them in championing the school’s mission and values. We are grateful for our committee members—Lena Stein Beckham ’11, Connie Blumenthal ’15, Oliver Clackson ’20, Christina Crowley ’23, Leah Drotch ’17, Ben Franco ’22, Ethan Johnson-LeComte ’20, Aliza Keegan ’21, Emily Marcoux ’14, Shreya Patel ’21, Philip Stefani ’13, Stanley Zheng ’17, and Andy Zou ’13—for your dedicated efforts and continued support of CA.

Alum Annual Fund Committee
This year, the generosity of CA’s alum community was extraordinary. Together with parents, grandparents, parents of alums, Trustees, and friends, CA surpassed its $3.1 M goal, making it a record-breaking year for the Annual Fund.
Alum Support in Numbers:
$1,334,735: Total Alum Dollars Raised in FY25
15% alum participation from 765 donors
Overall, alum donors represented 59% of 2024–25 Annual Fund supporters. Thank you to this dedicated group for your generosity!
We are very grateful to the 2024–25 members of the Alum Annual Fund Committee—Jake Bartlett ’91, Rebecca Seamans Egea ’93, David Goldberg ’88, Peter Li ’02, and Sung Kim ’82—who worked tirelessly throughout the year to personally connect with fellow alums and invite support of the school.
Making a gift to the Annual Fund is one of the most impactful ways to support CA. Every year, the school relies on the generosity of the alum community to invest in the school’s mission, people, and programs. Alum contributions ensure that a CA education remains transformative and shape the lives of all students. Thank you to those who contributed this year for your continued support!

Student representatives played a vital role this year by sharing their thoughtful and unique perspectives on campus life at CA with alum volunteers. Throughout the year, they met regularly to explore CA’s philanthropic efforts and learn about the wide-reaching impact of its volunteer network. Their involvement showed a deep curiosity about how philanthropy and engagement shape the CA experience—both now and for future generations—as they start to envision their paths as future alums.
This terrific group of student leaders provided campus updates at Alum Steering Committee meetings, served on the Joan Shaw Herman Award Selection Committee, introduced alum speakers at special events, and led nearly 50 student volunteers to inspire 281 community members to support the Annual Fund through the All Community Campaign. Throughout each experience, they recognized the power of building connections between current students and alums. We are grateful for their partnership and proud to see them embracing the values of philanthropy and engagement that will continue to shape CA’s future.

From June 6 through 8, 2025, more than 250 alums from across generations returned to CA for a weekend of celebration, connection, and reflection. Throughout the weekend, the newly opened Centennial Arts Center offered a vibrant setting for gatherings and programs. Highlights included a variety of faculty-led classes, student-led campus tours, Town of Concord tours created specially for the 250th anniversary of the battles of Lexington and Concord, and a moving panel discussion among alums.
The celebration wrapped up with a joyful reception and dinner Saturday evening, bringing everyone together in the spirit of community.
Thank you to everyone who attended and to the dedicated Reunion Committee members whose efforts made the weekend such a memorable success!
Reunion and Alum Weekend 2026 will celebrate classes ending in 1 and 6, but as always, members of every year are invited to attend. Keep an eye out for more information in the coming months.
Be sure to follow Concord Academy on Facebook, LinkedIn, and Instagram, and remember to update your contact information to stay updated on all things CA.
