Working at CA

Concord Academy’s teachers are known for innovation. We encourage our faculty members to design their own courses and pedagogies, offering a level of academic freedom that is rare even among other highly selective secondary schools. We are proud of our broad and diverse curriculum and are committed to advancing faculty leadership by supporting teachers in collaborating and testing ideas. We also provide structured mentorship to new teachers. At CA, all teachers take part in community life outside of their time in the classroom, but unlike many boarding schools, we do not require teachers to coach a sport. We have found that when individuals are free to determine how they want to be involved, it improves the quality of life as well as the quality of the education we provide.

CA’s administrative and staff team members bring a wealth of experience from diverse professional backgrounds. We work with inspiring educators and engage with some of the brightest and most interesting students you’ll find anywhere.
