Whether you meet over lunch, on the quad, or during walks into town for coffee, you’ll talk with your advisor about academics—course selection, workload, the college application process, and whatever else is on your mind. One week it might be friendships or your upcoming tournament game. The next week it might be a recent assembly speaker or the club you’re leading. Since these advising relationships are rooted in our shared humanity, it’s not uncommon for mentorships to extend over a lifetime.
