Dear CA supporters,
Concord Academyโs second century is off to a running start thanks to this incredible community. In this annual report, we invite you to celebrate a pivotal year for CA. To all who demonstrated generosity and belief in this school, we extend our heartfelt appreciation.
Throughout 2023โ24, our strategic planning process involved us in deep listening and active discussion, culminating in a strategic plan that was approved by the Board of Trustees in June 2024, which set clear priorities for the next five years. We also concluded the most ambitious campaign in CAโs history, raising more than $53 million for our campus, people, and program. Construction of the Centennial Arts Center began reshaping West Campus. CAโs endowment reached a major milestone, exceeding $100 million. And we maintained our commitment to the Annual Fund, ensuring CAโs health today and well into the future.
No less remarkable, CA faculty inspired love of learning every day, and students continued to bowl us over with their original ideas, community-oriented collaborations, and creative engagement. Concord Academy remains an outstanding community in which to live and learnโin no small way due to your support. We hope you will look back with pride on what we accomplished together over the past year.

The Elizabeth B. Hall Chapel is a place that all of usโstudents, faculty, staff, parents, alums, and friendsโknow, understand, and believe in. Our gift circles tell the story of how CAโs Chapel, moved from Barnstead, N.H., and rebuilt by many hands in Concord, became the heart of our school. Every year, the Annual Fund is built once again, by our dedicated supporters, who embrace its importance as a vital cornerstone of this community.

Demonstrating exceptional commitment to CA, these devoted supporters have given to the CA Annual Fund for 20 or more consecutive years. We are eternally grateful for your faith and confidence in CA. You make the extraordinary possible!

We gather in the Chapel, CAโs โhouse of stories,โ to share and listen. Storytellers Society members, who have given to the Annual Fund for five or more consecutive years, help CA continue its story. Their names appear in bold green in donor lists, celebrating their loyalty and generosity.

In June 1957, students chiseled 1 Corinthians 1โ8 into durable pine heartwood, ensuring the words would endure in the Chapel. Today, Heartwood Society members honor CAโs mission by including the school in their estate plans or making planned gifts, extending their support into the next century.
We are grateful to the foundations, corporations, and organizations who made generous gifts to CA during the 2023โ24 academic year.
Your support plays a critical role in enhancing our programs, expanding opportunities for students and faculty, and strengthening our community. We deeply appreciate the partnership each of you provides, enabling us to foster a dynamic learning environment that prepares our students to thrive in an ever-changing world.
Inspiring Community Through Giving

The Centennial Challenge was a heartfelt pledge by Dex Blumenthal โ11 and his sister Connie Blumenthal โ15, to ensure CAโs bright future. Connie and Dex committed $50,000 for every 25 donors who contributed to both the Annual Fund and the Centennial Campaign by June 30, 2024, with the potential to match up to $250,000. Their generosity sparked a wave of giving that exceeded all expectations, uniting the CA community in a shared mission. This effort not only provided vital financial support but also reinforced a culture of giving that will nurture future generations of CA students and preserve the schoolโs unique spirit.
Focused on both creating West Campus and growing our endowment, Concord Academyโs Centennial Campaign reflected our unwavering commitment to students and faculty. Each generous gift brought us closer to fulfilling our shared vision of a vibrant, transformative educational experience.
Thanks to incredible support, we are nearing the completion of the Centennial Arts Center, a physical capstone of this effort for all to enjoy. As we move toward a future rooted in inclusion and sustainability, financial independence will allow CA to unlock new opportunities for generations to come.
The pollinator meadow, established in honor of Lucy Eddy Fox โ69 and the Class of 1969, will play a vital role on our campus. Funded by the class of 1969 and supported by Lucyโs husband, Jim Fox, the initiative reflects the deep affection and respect the community has for Lucy. The pollinator meadow, to be located next to the Chapel and Centennial Arts Center, will honor her legacy while serving as a crucial habitat for pollinators, promoting biodiversity and environmental awareness on campus. Its dedication during the class of 1969โs 55th reunion highlighted the importance of community and remembrance, ensuring that Lucy’s spirit thrives in this beautiful space for future generations.
Building a Brighter Future
CAโs endowment is an investment in the future that also provides stability for the school today. Every gift to the endowment amplifies our ability to fulfill the commitment to our students. CAโs endowment benefits everyone in myriad ways, by supporting learning initiatives, sustaining our campus, inspiring faculty innovation, and giving us the means to dream boldly as we shape our future.
2023โ24 Endowment Total: $100,449,566
A named endowed fund is a gift established in perpetuity, with a portion of annual investment earnings used to provide support for a particular purpose agreed upon by the donor and the school. These funds support all areas of school life, including faculty, curriculum development, maintenance of the schoolโs historic campus, and our financial aid program. Concord Academy is grateful for these funds, which ensure long-term financial stability and represent lasting tributes to faculty, staff, alums, parents, and friends.
As we reflect on this extraordinary year at Concord Academy, we are filled with gratitude for each of you. Your generosityโthrough the Annual Fund, major gifts, scholarships, special projects, endowments, the Centennial Campaign, and many of these in combinationโhas made an indelible mark on our schoolโs future. Your contributions enable us to nurture curiosity, creativity, and love of learning in every student, ensuring Concord Academy remains a place where minds and hearts are transformed. Because of you, CA continues to thrive as a community dedicated to inspiring and empowering the next generation. Your support strengthens our mission and shapes our future.
Thank you.
Concord Academyโs Centennial Campaign owes its success to the unwavering dedication of our Steering Committee and trustees. Their passion, energy, and expertise were instrumental in every facet of this campaign. They offered invaluable counsel and guidance, focused our fundraising efforts, and served as CAโs unofficial ambassadors and cheerleaders, and we are reminded daily of their profound impact. Every gift made to CA is a reflection of care, and the commitment of these leaders ensures CA will continue living its mission every day for every student.
