Choose one of the following options:

  • Chemistry and the Cold War
with Science Department Head Will Tucker
    LABS 211
At the end of World War II, the previously dominant, European-led international system had been completely shattered. The new international system organized within and in opposition to the rising competition between the USA and USSR. This course examines the shape of the Cold War conflict that followed World War II and the science of the nuclear weapons that shaped the short 20th Century.
  • Exploring Math in Politics
    with Mathematics Teacher Shawn Bartok
    LABS B11
Discover how mathematics can illuminate the possibilities of decision-making in society. In this accessible, hands-on class, we’ll explore alternatives to the U.S. presidential voting system, consider how political power can be measured, and examine what math reveals about cooperation. Through interactive voting activities, engaging games, and thought-provoking examples, we’ll journey into a world where numbers help us understand not just outcomes—but the many ways we shape them.

Performance of the Spring Dance Concert

Enjoy a special performance of CA’s Spring Dance Concert, offered just for the alum community. After the performance, attendees are invited to an informal gathering with the student performers.

Kinetic Echoes is a profound exploration of the fragile threshold between remembering and forgetting, physicalizing the moment a memory shifts from a warm glow into a cold, distorting fog. This performance does not merely depict the loss of history but invites you to inhabit that space where landmarks of the self become uncertain. Through the use of sheer, flowing fabrics that respond to the slightest breath of movement, the stage itself becomes a living map of transient connections, capturing impressions of paths that vanish almost as soon as they appear. The choreography emerged from the dancers’ deepest instincts and lived experiences, evolving into a haunting collective language where gestures echo across the stage like half remembered dreams.
