Science Teacher

Susan Flink teaches developmental biology, chemistry of cooking, chemistry, and advanced chemistry. She is the advisor to Concord Academy Students in Action (CASA), a community service club. Susan studied at Swarthmore College and the University of Chicago. After she worked in a molecular biology lab at the University of Chicago Hospitals, she began teaching in Tulsa, Okla. She arrived at CA to teach science and coach volleyball in 1992. While taking time to be a stay-at-home mother, she tutored students in chemistry and biology and volunteered with a group of parents to design and build a children’s museum. Susan is passionate about science learning and delights in students’ curiosity and wonder about the natural world as a starting place for conversations, questions, and active learning.
