Patrick McWhinney is the co-founder and CEO of Insight Partners, an advisory firm focused on leadership, organization culture, and team effectiveness. Patrick provides consulting, training, and coaching services to corporate executives and government leaders worldwide. From 2003 to 2012, he served as special advisor on negotiation to the chief prosecutor at the International Criminal Court in The Hague. He has held positions as adjunct professor at Georgetown University Law School and Northeastern University, and he is a former training co-director of the Harvard Mediation Program. A Canadian, Patrick holds a bachelor’s degree from McGill University and a master’s degree from Harvard, focusing on conflict management and alternative dispute resolution through the Harvard Negotiation Program. In 2009, he was awarded the designation of Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum. Patrick and his wife, Maeve, have four children.
