Nate Vinton joined Concord Academy as an Alpine ski coach in 2025. He has previously coached at the junior and collegiate level, and more recently taught his three daughters to ski. During a 15-year sportswriting career he reported on a wide range of sports for The New York Times, the International Herald Tribune, and The New York Daily News, where he was part of the sports investigation team. As a journalist he covered the FIS World Cup circuit, the Alpine skiing World Championships, and the Olympic Winter Games of 2006, 2010, and 2014. In 2015, WW Norton published his book The Fall Line, about downhill racers. He is a graduate of Bowdoin College.
