Michael Bennett is head of the Performing Arts Department, where he conducts the choral ensembles and teaches courses on music history. He also acts as music director for CA’s mainstage musicals and as faculty advisor to CA’s student-led singing groups. Michael joined the Concord Academy faculty and campus community in 2013 and serves as a house affiliate in the residential life program. Outside of CA, Michael performs regularly in professional choral ensembles in the Boston area, including Emmanuel Music and Boston Baroque. He holds degrees in music theory and composition from New York University and Westminster Choir College, and a Ph.D. in music history from the University of Washington.
