What are you involved in at CA?
I am the captain of the Mock Trial Team, a head orientation leader, an All Community Campaign leader for the Annual Fund, and a head tour guide. I also play field hockey and lacrosse at CA!
Why did you choose CA?
I chose CA because I was looking for a community to call home and a place where I could pursue multiple interests. I found that CA’s supportive student body and faculty would be perfect for my passions. The advising system, electives, extracurriculars, and much more all contribute to the vibrant student life CA offers for students to connect with one another.
What is your favorite activity at CA and why?
I had never picked up a professional camera before CA until I began taking photography. I have learned how to appreciate details you can only see through a lens, making the process much more rewarding. I can express myself through taking photographs and learning new techniques from my peers, allowing me to make new friends and enhance my skills.
Favorite class you’ve taken at CA and why?
My favorite class at CA has been 20th Century Female Authors. In this class, we learned how to examine female poetry and writings through the literary risks each author has taken. We learned how each “disobedience” in poetry has reflected the lived experiences of numerous women throughout the 20th century and beyond. This class expanded my knowledge of how feminist writings have reflected history over time.
