As a child growing up in Rochester, N.Y., music was all Ethan ever wanted to do. He played in pop/punk and indie rock bands performing and recording original music until he made the decision to switch his focus to classical singing in college. Since then, he has performed across North America in prestigious venues such as Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall, and the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Ethan says he loves teaching voice for many reasons, but perhaps mostly because of the way students surprise him in what they are able to accomplish with a little bit of time.
