Dwayne Powell
Girls Varsity Basketball Coach
Dwayne Powell is entering his third season as the varsity head coach of the girls basketball program. He comes to Concord Academy with over a decade’s experience coaching and training. Prior to joining CA’s staff, Dwayne coached at Wellesley High and the Fessenden School. Dwayne has a passion for teaching the fundamentals of the game of basketball. He prides himself in using basketball to teach adolescents life lessons: “I believe sports are a great way to learn so much about yourself. They teach you the true meaning of hard work and teamwork. There’s nothing better than a group of people working towards one common goal.”
During Dwayne’s playing career, he attended Lasell University, where he was three-year captain and all-time leader in assists.
