Ashley MacLure joined Concord Academy as a drawing and sculpture instructor in 2025. With over a decade of experience in public art education, she brings a deep passion for helping students develop meaningful, technically strong, and conceptually rich work. A graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design (BFA, 2009), she worked as a professional illustrator before transitioning to teaching in 2013. In 2023, she earned an M.Ed. in visual arts from Framingham State University, blending her dual passions for art and education. She is eager to engage in cross-disciplinary, socially engaged projects with students. She believes in empowering students to tell their own stories and to use art as a tool for personal and social transformation. Her personal studio practice explores themes of mental health, trauma, and motherhood, and has been featured in national and international publications. She believes in empowering students to tell their own stories and find their voices. Ashley lives in Massachusetts with her husband and young daughter. She’s a fan of sci-fi and dystopian literature, loves history and exploring antique shops, and has a soft spot for ’80s movies and bad reality TV.
