Arts

At Concord Academy, creativity is the cornerstone of our curriculum. We foster students’ distinct voices in the visual and performing arts through our devoted faculty and diverse offerings. We are committed to challenging and expanding students’ understanding of themselves and the world through purposeful collaboration and creative engagement.

OUR PHILOSOPHY

CA nurtures technical expertise and conceptual thinking through our immersive approach to arts education. Our expansive arts program includes 2D art, 3D art, media art, dance, music, theater, and technical production. Drawing inspiration from the vibrant Boston arts community, we foster an environment for collaboration and innovation.

Where Creativity Flourishes and Dreams Take Flight

The arts encourage us to question, engage with, and understand the world from different perspectives. That’s why we consider the arts to be an academic discipline. In our classes, we blend skills development with the freedom to explore and express ideas. Our quality of instruction and resources, breadth of offerings, and opportunities for interdisciplinary study are nearly unmatched among secondary schools.

Inspired by our students’ intelligence and drive, we tailor our teaching to their talents, ensuring that each individual receives the support they need to flourish. Our state-of-the-art Math and Arts Center, Dance Studio, and soon-to-be-opened Centennial Arts Center provide spaces for process, presentation, and performance. Whatever your passion, here you’ll find a nurturing environment where creativity flourishes and dreams take flight.
