Martha Soper

Boy's Varsity Squash Coach, Boys Varsity Tennis Coach

Martha has been a tennis and squash teaching professional in Massachusetts for approximately 30 years. Martha played tennis in college and developed a strong passion for squash after college. She played squash at a top level locally competing in Boston based leagues and national tournaments. Martha first came to CA back when the Student Health and Athletic Center (SHAC) was first built. She was hired to help launch a “learn squash” program” and teach squash to students as a life sport. Martha left for many years to pursue a full time teaching post as a French and Spanish teacher in Sudbury and Belmont. She has been back at CA now for 10 years as the boys varsity head squash coach and the boys junior varsity tennis coach. Martha can also often be found in a French or Spanish classroom in a support staff/long term sub position. Martha lives in Concord with her husband. She has two adult sons (one of whom played squash at Brooks and in college at Franklin and Marshall) and two step-sons. Martha’s “happy place” is either with a racket in her hand or watching developing to competitive players play the game of squash that she is so passionate about.
