Science Department Head and Teacher, Scheduler Assistant, Chemical Safety Officer
Will is a Maine native who found a passion for chemistry during his time in high school with Mr. Osborne. After leaving Maine, Will studied chemistry at Middlebury College and then pursued his PhD degree at the University of Wisconsin–Madison in the field of organic chemistry and drug delivery. Will came to Concord Academy after working at Boston University, where he taught organic chemistry. At CA, Will teaches chemistry and advanced chemistry and is head of the Science Department, a boarding faculty member, the school’s chemical hygiene officer, and a member of the scheduling team. Will’s students have, through their questions, pushed him to think deeper and more critically about chemistry. He says their curiosity inspires him, and their inquisitiveness has inspired his writing.
