Head Tour Guide

Day student from Lincoln, Mass.

What are you involved in at CA?
Athletically I play varsity soccer, Ultimate Frisbee, and run track. Apart from being a head tour guide, I am a Ski Club member and cohead of the Applied Physics and Spikeball clubs. I am a head Orientation leader. I am an entertainment representative for the school, and I serve as one of three members of the Athletic Council.

What is your favorite activity at CA and why?
My favorite activity at CA is Spikeball on the quad. Picture a late night in the fall when most people have gone home. As the sun sets, you get three friends, a speaker, and you have an hour to kill. So much laughter and arguing yet it’s where I have created some of my favorite memories in high school. No matter the outcome or amount of bruises, I always walk away wishing I could still be playing. This is an opportunity to enjoy CA’s beautiful campus while also being able to joke around and play with your friends. To me, a perfect match.

Advice to prospective students?
My advice to prospective students would be to try new things. Step out of your comfort zone. I know at first you may be nervous, but it’s that discomfort that allows for growth, and success in a place like CA.

At this point in time, what two to three songs do you think you might choose for your Chapel playlist?
“Here Comes the Sun” by The Beatles, “Try Everything” by Shakira (from the movie
Zootopia), and “Mr. Jones” by Counting Crows.
