Martha Kennedy
Library Director/Archivist
Concord Academy’s library director and archivist, Martha began her CA journey as a part-time library assistant in 1994. Her graduate school degree in library science included a concentration in archives, an area that became the focus of her early work as CA prepared to celebrate its 75th anniversary. Sharing the treasures retained in the school’s archives, including photos, student publications, correspondence, and memorabilia, is key to bridging generations of CA students to its past. Over the years, Martha has advised dozens of students and served as an admissions reader and tour guide. In addition to her love of exchanging good reads with patrons, Martha is an avid gardener and reader and has raised three Labradors, all of whom became library dogs. She most enjoys working and learning alongside students and colleagues. The outdoors is her favorite classroom, and she loves that CA’s campus is situated along the Sudbury River.
