What are you involved in at CA?
I am a co-head of GRiT (Gender Representation in Technology), IFO (Intersectional Feminist Organization), Ceramics Club, and French Club. I am also an Orientation leader and play soccer and lacrosse at CA!
What is your favorite activity at CA and why?
I never considered myself an art person before taking ceramics and now it is one of my favorite activities. The environment in the studio is collaborative and inspired, making it a great place to talk with new people and find new music. Through ceramics, I have found ways to express myself, relax, and approach new things through practice.
Why did you choose CA?
I chose CA because of the vibrant community and the emphasis on balance. I love that at CA, you can pursue all of your passions simultaneously and are encouraged to explore new interests. I think the flexible schedule and electives create opportunities for all students to meet and fosters our close-knit community.
What is your favorite class you’ve taken at CA and why?
My favorite class at CA was U.S.: Constitutional Law. In this class, we analyzed past and present cases in the Supreme Court, looked at the foundation of the U.S. government and how it has changed, and discussed social justice issues with historical context. This class expanded how I think and made me excited to learn more about policies and current events.
