What are you involved in at CA?
I’m co-editor-in-chief of The Centipede, our student-run newspaper, where I get to collaborate with writers from all grades to facilitate the publication of the newspaper every month. As a co-head for Mock Trial, I also get to work with the team to take on roles of attorneys and witnesses to compete at the local district court. CA makes time for both athletics and clubs in the afternoons, so I’m able to balance Dance Project, a creative space to engage in different dance techniques, in my schedule as well!
Why did you choose CA?
CA offers so many opportunities and resources, both in and out of classroom—all in the heart of Concord. CA’s curriculum is designed for the students, and I found it especially appealing how teachers could integrate the town’s history and literary works of local authors into their teachings. CA’s unique location, paired with the many student-oriented spaces, foster the dynamic and supportive community I chose to be a part of at CA.
What is your favorite class you’ve taken at CA and why?
Last spring, I took Advanced Spanish History: Muchos Méxicos, which is a unique class taught bilingually (English and Spanish). The course approached the history of Mexico through an interdisciplinary lens, allowing us to examine social structures and the legacy of colonialism that have shaped present-day Mexico. We even cooked a few times throughout the semester, making the class truly memorable and a genuinely fun space to learn in.

Share a moment when you knew you belonged at CA.
Throughout my time at CA, I’ve had many opportunities to connect with CA alums. Serving as a student representative on the Alum Association has allowed me to reach out to alums and hear about their experiences. Seeing how the CA experience extends beyond four years of high school, I truly appreciate being surrounded by a community of active learners. I always know there is a community at CA and beyond that will encourage and support my interests.
