Residential Life

Many faculty live on campus with their families, creating a vibrant, communal environment where students often interact with faculty children and pets.

Historic Houses

Concord Academy boarding students live in six historic houses on Main Street, coming from places as far as Bangkok and as close as Boston. They live together, mixing grades and perspectives under one roof. These student houses, once family homes, have been renovated into welcoming “home-away-from-home” spaces. Each room is unique, with features like window seats and cozy nooks. Four house faculty, most living in the house, support and engage with students, ensuring study hours and “lights out” are observed. Boarding Student Leadership

The Boarding Council, comprising the head of boarders, the vice head of boarders, student heads of house, the director of residential life, and the dean of students, meets weekly to discuss boarding community matters, including rule changes, and occasionally consults with house faculty. Each student house has an elected student head of house who represents their house at council meetings, conducts house meetings, and assists with house management. Additionally, each house has a house manager, selected by house faculty and the previous year’s council, responsible for managing house jobs and running the house store, providing late-night snacks.
