CA stages at least two professionally directed mainstage theater productions each year, as well as second-stage productions including student-directed shows. Students are invited to audition for a wide range of theater projects during their four years at CA, including dramas, comedies, musicals, and experimental works from around the globe. Our thoughtful approach to title selection as an academic institution asks: Why this show? Why now? We seek to use theater as a means to respond to the social and cultural world around us. Students work with professional designers and directors from the Boston theater scene so that they can look and sound their best.
