Shawna Penders is the general manager of the dining hall. With a passion for cooking, she enjoys experimenting with new recipes and sharing her culinary creations.
Dedicated to sustainability, Shawna is an active member of the CA sustainability committee, where she contributes to initiatives that promote environmental responsibility. Her role also involves logistics and planning, ensuring smooth and efficient operations, nourishing meals for students, faculty and staff within the dining hall and CA community.
Shawna takes pride in the development of her incredible dining hall team, fostering a fun, supportive and dynamic work environment. Enabling the team to connect with the CA community and create more collaborative cuisines in culture with menus where everyone feels like they belong through food in the dining hall.
In her free time, Shawna loves traveling, gardening, reading and spending quality moments with her nephews.
