Admissions Tour Guides (Parent volunteers serve as tour guides for parents of prospective students during their admission visits. Volunteers attend a training session in early September, and tour families weekly from September through the end of January.)
Annual Fund Committee (Parent volunteers contact fellow parents to ask for Annual Fund gifts in support of the school’s operating budget. Volunteer efforts in recent years have resulted in strong participation rates. Outreach can be made from your home.)
Art Parent Ambassadors (Parent volunteers provide fruit, baked goods, and other treats after performances and exhibits to create social connections.)
Athletics Parent Volunteers (Parent volunteers help the Athletic Department communicate information to CA parents and provide ways for parents of team members to connect with each other and support the athletes, the teams, and the school’s athletic program.)
CARE Program (This program matches boarding students, if they so desire, with a local family for the academic year. The CARE family provides a friendly connection in the local community. Some CARE families provide notes or treats for their CARE student, take them out for ice cream or pizza, invite them to their home for dinner, and offer a little slice of family life for a CA boarder.)
CA Gear Pop-Up Store (The CA Gear pop-up store provides CA-branded clothing and gear at a variety of school events throughout the school year. Parent volunteers will assist with inventory, promote the store, and work in the store.)
Exam Treats (CA Parents surprise students with little bags of treats in their mailboxes to wish them well during their December and May exams. Volunteers provide the treats and stuff the bags before exams.)
Faculty/Staff Appreciation Luncheons (CA Parents provide lunch, baked goods, and other treats twice a year to show their appreciation to CA faculty and staff, who greatly anticipate these annual traditions.)
International Potluck for Students (Local CA families provide either an international dish or any traditional dish/family favorite to CA students to introduce dishes from other countries for the first time and bring comfort to those who can enjoy the cooking they miss from home.)
Parent-to-Parent Program (Parent-to-Parent volunteers contact new families to welcome them, share information, and direct them to the CA administrators who can best address their questions. Boarding parents are especially encouraged to participate.)
