Have you ever dreamed of creating a video game?

In this course, we’ll dive into game development. Campers will learn the fundamentals of game design, starting with HTML programming. During the course, we will use AI technology for storytelling and image creation, infusing unlimited options into game creation. We’ll also work on enhancing writing skills by coding trivia challenges and immersive choose-your-own-adventure games. Learners will have the opportunity to collaborate on a group game. Together, you’ll practice the techniques learned throughout the course to craft a game that can be shared with friends and family.

You don’t need any previous experience or special software; you’ll only need your creativity!

Dungeons & Dragons and Beyond! (gr. 6-10)

Dungeons & Dragons and Beyond!
2024 Dates: August 5 – 9  or  August 12 – 16
rising 6-10 grades
Cost: $875

Gather your dice, sharpen your pencil, and join us this summer for an epic adventure! At this camp we’ll play Dungeons & Dragons, the world’s most popular roleplaying game. You and the other campers will create heroic characters, explore fantastic worlds, solve challenging puzzles, and face great dangers – all in your imagination. Teamwork is essential. Can your group work together to complete the quest and save the world? There’s only one way to find out!

Did you know there are other roleplaying games besides D&D? We’ll also explore games set in worlds different from D&D (from fantasy, to science fiction, to our own real world) and face different challenges: a haunted summer camp? A UFO that crashes in the woods? A team of misfit superheroes? Your imagination is the only limit!

Besides slaying monsters, the camp day includes camp activities like archery and woodworking, and an optional swim period.

When he is not working, studying, or playing DnD himself, John also plays disc golf, competitively, throughout the year.
