Concord Academy seeks an experienced vocal  instructor to teach a course in Basic Voice instruction, teach individual music instruction in voice, and coach the vocalists in the  school’s Vocal Jazz & Pop Ensemble (VJ&P).  Basic Voice is a course designed for beginning students to provide basic vocal skills and introduce a range of vocal experiences as well as rudiments of basic music theory.  VJ&P vocalists collaborate  with a small pop band in a variety of styles including pop, funk, rock, Latin and swing.  Singers develop skills in singing harmony and background and microphone techniques using amplification. Individual Music Instruction is a full-year course, receiving academic credit.  Instructors complete student reports and provide grades twice a year as well as coordinate and direct one to two studio workshops with the students.  Class meetings are either 40 or 60 minutes long and schedules are arranged to coordinate student and teacher availability.
