Fay Lampert Shutzer ’65 – Board President
Fay Lampert Shutzer ’65 is the president of Concord Academy’s Board of Trustees. She brings sensibilities as an artist and a psychologist to CA’s board. She is a psychologist recently retired from private practice in New York City. Fay has also taught cognitive assessment as an adjunct professor at the NYU school psychology program and school consultation at the Postgraduate Center for Mental Health and at The Institute for Child, Adolescent and Family Studies (ICAFS).
A graduate of Mount Holyoke, Fay holds a master’s and a doctorate in psychology from NYU and postdoctoral certificates in psychoanalytic psychotherapy from NYU’s program in Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy and from the Postgraduate Center for Mental Health. Fay is also an accomplished artist and exhibits in galleries in New York and Wellfleet, Mass.
Fay’s current board affiliations include the American Repertory Theater (A.R.T.), the School for Ethics and Global Leadership (SEGL) and she is an honorary trustee of the Chewonki Foundation. Past board affiliations include the Doe Fund of New York City, and the Institute for Child, Adolescent and Family Studies (ICAFS).
She lives in New York City with her husband, William. They have four children: Megan, Katherine, James, and Christopher. Fay’s sister, Emily Lampert ’69, also attended CA.
