First-Class Facilities

Concord Academy’s first-class facilities, provides campers with an extensive array of activities, rain or shine. Whether it is the outdoor sports fields, arts and ceramics studios, woodshop, dance studio, theatre, squash courts, outdoor swimming pool, or canoeing on the river, campers will never be bored at CA Summer Camp. Lunch is provided daily in our spacious, air-conditioned dining hall.

A camp is only as good as its staff! At Concord Academy Summer Camp, we hire counselors who are enthusiastic, fun, creative, caring, and safety-conscious. An adult head counselor, generally a professional educator or recent college graduate, along with three other staff members lead each group of campers. All of our staff are committed to providing a summer experience that is memorable for each and every camper. Our counselor to camper ratio is 1:4 for Kiddie Camps, 1:5 for Day Camps, 1:6 for Teen Camps, and at least 1:6 for all Specialty Camps. All Concord Academy staff undergo thorough background checks, including CORIs, SORIs, reference checks, and an intensive interview process. All counselors complete a comprehensive pre-camp training and many are certified or trained in First Aid, CPR, life guarding, water safety, as well as specialized programs such as canoeing and archery.

Extended Day
CA Summer Camp offers an extended day program for our camp families before and after regular camp hours. Extended AM is from 7:50 a.m. – 9:00 a.m. Extended PM is from 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. Both morning and afternoon extended day will consist of organized activities. Afternoon care also includes a snack and an activity choice. Families can register for an extended day program on a daily or weekly basis.

2021 program change: Based on current COVID-19 restrictions in summer camp regulations, it is likely we will not be able to include free swim as an option during Extended PM, as we have in previous summers. We will continue to update our policies and procedures as new information and changes to regulations are released.

7:50 a.m. – 9:00 a.m. AM Extended Day
9:30 a.m. – 3:45 p.m. Camp
4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. PM Extended Day

Drop-off each day runs 9:00 – 9:30 a.m., for those not participating in Extended AM.  Afternoon pick-up runs 3:30 – 4:15 p.m. To avoid disruption in your camper’s day, please plan to drop-off and pick-up your child during the appropriate time window each day.  Please see the Camper/Parent Handbook for your family’s specific pick-up time frame, which will also be indicated on the Pick-Up cards mailed prior to the start of camp.

2021 program change: We have altered and expanded our drop-off and pick-up times for 2021, to allow for more physical distancing during these times.  Current summer camp regulations prohibit visitors, including parents, being on-campus and not in a vehicle.  Any late arrivals or early dismissals will need to remain in their car and call the camp office for assistance. While we strongly discourage it, please email or call the camp office ahead of time if you need to pick-up your child up before 3:30 p.m., when dismissal begins.

Extended Day Fees:
Morning 7:50-9 a.m.: $15/day or $60/week
Kiddie Camp Afternoon: 1-4 p.m. $45/day or $180/week
After Camp 4-6 p.m.: $30/day or $120/week

Parents Information

Health Form:
After registering, you may log back in to your family account by following the “registration” link in order to completing on-line health information for your camper and uploading Physical and Immunization Records. We must receive completed health forms prior to June 1, 2021. Our camp nurse will review the forms and be in touch with any questions prior to your child attending camp.

Health Center Policies:
Please read through the policies of our Camp Health Center, if you have any questions, please contact the camp office

2020 Parent/Camper Handbook
Please read this carefully (even if you have already attended camp!) This handbook should answer questions that you and your child have about camp this summer.

Each day, CA Summer Camp will provide a well-balanced hot lunch with many choices in our air-conditioned dining hall. All campers will also receive a morning snack and juice. Each camp week’s menu will be available online in early June. If your child has food allergies, a meeting with the food service director can be arranged to determine what food your child can eat each week.

Our daily lunch choices include “kid favorites”, salad, vegetables, fruit, vegetarian options, gluten free and other dietary/allergy friendly options, as well as juice and milk.

2021 program change: We are currently working on updated snack and lunch plans with Concord Academy’s Food Service Director, based on current COVID-19 restrictions and Massachusetts Guidelines.  We are still planning to offer a variety of lunch options each day and are considering options including individually packaged “grab & go” meals instead of our usual serving line.  Finalized details and menus will be posted once they are solidified. Please contact the camp office if you have any questions or concerns.

2021 program change: Unfortunately, we will not be offering bus transportation this summer.  This decision was made in consultation with our Health Care Consultant as a COVID-19 mitigation strategy to avoid our “cohort groups” sharing indoor spaces, like a confined school bus. We apologize for the inconvenience this will cause families.  We hope to offer bus transportation again in future summers.

Family Swim Club

Family Swim Club

2021 program change: At this time, we are in the process of determining whether or not we will be able to offer a family swim club this summer due to COVID-19 restrictions.  We will update this page when a decision has been determined, likely in early-spring.

Registration Policies & Discounts

Registration Process

Registrations for all programs are processed on a first-come first-served basis in the order they are received. A non-refundable deposit of $100 per week per camper must accompany the completed registration. The remaining balance for all campers is due on or before June 1, 2021. If the balance is not paid, a camper’s registration will be cancelled. After June 1, 2021, all new registrations must be paid in full.

A refund or credit, minus the non-refundable $100 per week deposit, will be given for any changes or cancellations made in writing before June 1, 2021. After June 1, 2021, no refunds will be made, with the exception of illness. A written request along with a doctor’s note stating that camp is medically inadvisable must be submitted in order to receive a refund or credit, less any deposits. The $100 per week deposit is non-refundable and cannot be transferred to sessions for which a balance is still owed. No refunds or credits will be made for a camper who attends only part of a session for any reason with the exception of illness.

Open Houses

2021 program change: We typically host 3 open houses throughout the late-winter and early-spring to show families around our beautiful campus.  Due to current COVID-19 restictions, we are not able to bring visitors onto campus.  If restrictions are relaxed in the coming months, we are hoping to offer private tours of our facilities for individual families.  Check back in the spring for any updates, or contact the camp office.
