We invite parents to attend the all-community assembly on Wednesday, May 22, at 2:25 p.m. in the Performing Arts Center to view some of the works made during the spring semester by CA filmmakers. We also invite parents to join us for the premiere of Deerstalker, CA’s fourth feature film production, on Friday, May 24, at 7:30 p.m. in the P.A.C., complete with a red carpet event!
Deerstalker is a contained-psychological thriller that examines the tenuous relationships between a group of teenagers over the course of one night. In the spirit of Alfred Hitchcock’s Rope and Lifeboat, the film primarily takes place in one location. Deerstalker was directed by film teacher Justin Bull, who co-wrote the screenplay with CA alumnus Jared Green ’88 after developing the characters and story with the Feature Film Project students. Fellow film teacher Ben Stumpf ’88 supervised the editing of the film by his Post-Production: Cutting the Feature students. Please note that the film contains PG-13 elements with some mature language and brief moments of violence.
Tickets are $15 and will be on sale starting on Monday, May 20, and can be reserved by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
