Here are three upcoming events that you won’t want to miss. Please mark your calendars!
Josh Duboff ’04, Hall Fellow Lecture: Wednesday, March 27, at 6 p.m. in the Ransome Room
The Hall Fellow Lectureship is an endowed program that has brought a wide array of accomplished individuals to campus to share their life’s work, experience, and knowledge with the CA community. This year’s Hall Fellow, Josh Duboff ’04, is a senior writer at Vanity Fair who covers entertainment and celebrity stories. His work points a lens at the lives of those in the bright spotlight. At a time when young people are increasingly influenced by the actions and choices of popular figures — who they believe they “know” because of access to their daily lives through social media platforms — Josh provides a window into a world we simply can’t ignore.
Claudia Rankine Special Event: Thursday, April 11, at 7:00 p.m. in the P.A.C.
We are delighted to announce that New Yorker contributor Claudia Rankine will visit CA to talk about her award-winning lyric poem Citizen (required reading for CA sophomores). Come and hear about what your students are learning, from the writer herself. We hope this talk may also open the door to conversations between you and your student about this compelling author and her work.
Coffee and Conversation with a Twist: Wednesday, April 24, at 6:30 in the Ransome Room
CA Parent Jill Seeber will talk about her work representing immigrant families on the southern border. There will be time for questions and plenty of time for casual conversation afterward. Come and learn about what one member of our parent community is doing in the wider world!
