On May 31, a day of hope and promise, Concord Academy celebrated its 97th graduating class. A mixture of solemnity and high spirits marked the occasion, on which Assistant Head and Academic Dean John Drew P’15 ’19, soon to depart CA to become the head of the White Mountain School in Bethlehem, N.H., delivered the Commencement address. Host Family Program Volunteers Needed

May 7, 2018

Thank you to those of you who are already currently involved in this program! Whether you are a local host who has shared goodies and a touch of home or a distant family that has shared your child with another family this year, we hope it has been a great experience. In early June, all families will receive registration materials for the upcoming school year and will have the opportunity to sign up to be a host family. If you are a current host family, or your child currently has a host family, we hope you will take the opportunity over the next few weeks to connect about whether you would like to continue to participate with your current match. Each year some boarding students decide to step away from the program, feeling that they have a sense of stability now that they are grounded at CA, while others would never dream of losing the connection. Or it may be that as a host family, life has gotten busier and you need to step away. Regardless of your decision, we hope you will connect with your current family/student and discuss your hopes for next year.

If you are now feeling that you would like to enter the program, we are happy to have you! Look for the information in the registration materials to be sent in early June.
