CA Athletics Teams Enjoyed A Successful Fall Season!

November 14, 2017

Congratulations to all of Concord Academy’s fall sports teams! With strong finishes to the regular season and several teams advancing to the postseason, CA athletics enjoyed another successful fall. The boys varsity soccer and girls varsity volleyball teams literally posted banner years: Both will see EIL championship banners raised to the roof of the gym to honor hard-earned league titles. The boys and girls varsity cross-country teams traveled to the NEPSAC championship meet this past weekend to compete with the strongest programs in the region in bitterly cold conditions. The boys team earned a fourth-place plaque by upsetting several EIL teams that had beaten them earlier in the season. The girls followed suit with an impressive eighth-place finish out of 22 teams. The varsity girls soccer and field hockey programs fielded young teams this fall. Both experienced growing pains, but they look forward to applying lessons learned to next season. A sign of a bright future for the CA fall programs is that nearly every sub-varsity team posted a winning record. Most importantly, all the teams enjoyed the opportunity to pursue excellence in their chosen sports while learning important life skills and values to carry with them off the field and court.
