We’d like to make this as easy as possible for you. To that end, please see below for a comprehensive list of our requirements, processes, and deadlines. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to be in touch.

Important Dates

  • All application materials must be submitted to the Admissions Office by January 15.
  • Admissions decisions will be returned to applicants by March 10.
  • All admitted students should notify us of their decision to enroll by April 10.

    Step 1: Request Information

    Please complete the request information form as soon as possible to receive information about Concord Academy and our upcoming admissions events.

    Step 2: Create an Online Account

    Concord Academy uses Ravenna Solutions, an online admissions system, to streamline the admissions process for families. After completing the request information form and when you are ready to apply to CA, please create an account at Please use an email address that you will have access to throughout the admissions process.

    Ravenna will allow you to:

  • Complete the student and parent portions of the application
  • Send requests for letters of recommendation to your student’s teachers via email
  • Register for events
  • Check the status of the application
    CA also accepts applications from the Gateway to Prep Schools application, The Association of Boarding Schools (TABS) application, and the Enrollment Management Association Student Application Online (SAO). Please note that regardless of how you ultimately decide to apply, a Ravenna account is necessary.

    Step 3: Schedule an Interview

    While interviews are not required for admission to Concord Academy, we do encourage families to visit our campus and speak with an admissions representative — it is an opportunity for us to get to know you, and for you to get to know us.

    We conduct interviews Monday through Friday and some Saturdays from late September through the end of January. (See the full visit schedule). Recognizing that distant families’ schedules are less flexible than those of local families, we reserve Saturday interview spots for boarders. Interviews fill up quickly. The sooner you call us, the more likely we are to be able to accommodate your visit request. Please notify us of your intentions to be in the area as soon as you begin making your school visit plans.

    If you are unable to visit us on campus, we also offer online interviews at 9:00 a.m. EST on weekday mornings from October through the end of January.

    Step 4: Submit Standardized Test Scores

    Concord Academy requires standardized test results. If you are a prospective 9th or 10th grader, register for and take either the SSAT or ISEE. We accept results from tests taken during your current school year. We will not consider results from tests taken after January 15. CA’s SSAT code is 2560. CA’s ISEE code is 220640.

    If you are a prospective 11th grader, register for and take the PSAT/SAT test.  CA’s PSAT/SAT code is 220640.

    If English is not your primary language and/or if you have attended an English speaking school for less than three years, we require you to take the Test of English as a Foreign Language exam (TOEFL). CA’s TOEFL code is 2255.

    Step 5: Send Letters of Recommendation

    In September or October of the year you are applying to CA, speak to adult members of your school community about writing letters of recommendation on your behalf. We encourage these adults to submit their letters of recommendation after December 1 so that they may know you that much better when writing about you. We require recommendations from your current math and english teachers.

    Optional: Visual and Performing Art Submissions

    For students interested in submitting visual or performing arts portfolios:

    To submit your artwork portfolio for review, we request that you submit six to ten pieces in high-quality JPEG format via Flickr, a shared Google document or equivalent online hosting service. Provide for each piece the title, medium and year made; pieces should have been produced within the last two years. Please email your link to us at

    To submit a film or a performing arts (music, dance, or theatre) piece for review, we require digital submissions. For performing arts submissions, only video (no audio) will be accepted, and pieces should not exceed five minutes in length. Videos can be sent via YouTube playlists, Vimeo, or equivalent sites.     Financial Aid
