Interviews, Tours, and Events

We are offering a number of ways to connect with Concord Academy this year. Schedule a tour, attend an event, or visit Concord! We look forward to getting to know you and encourage you to reach out with any questions.

Applicant Interviews & Tours

We want to get to know you better throughout the application process, so we offer applicants the option to have an interview on campus or via Zoom.  Applicants who are not able to schedule an interview are encouraged to submit a personal video statement.

Interviews are a recommended part of the application process. These optional one-on-one conversations give us the opportunity to learn more about you, and they’re a chance for you to address your specific interests and questions. Each applicant can expect to spend 20 to 30 minutes talking with a CA interviewer, with around 20 minutes following for parents or guardians. We offer interviews in-person as well as over Zoom. We do not recommend one format over the other—please choose the format that works best for your family.

Due to the high demand for interviews, we encourage you to schedule your interview as soon as possible.

Please click here to request an in-person, on-campus interview.  A campus tour will precede your on-campus interview.

Please click here to request a Zoom interview.  If you interview on Zoom and would also like to visit campus in person, you may sign up for a campus tour without an interview or attend our Open House.

Similar to interviews, the optional personal video statement gives you an opportunity to tell us more about yourself beyond the information you provided in your application. While the personal video statement is not required, if you are unable to schedule an interview the video is a great option.

Your video introduction should be a simple statement of your interests and aspirations rather than an extensively rehearsed or edited video, and its length should not exceed three minutes. It is perfectly acceptable to send us a link to a “selfie-style” video recorded on your phone! Here are some questions we frequently ask during interviews that you may want to address in your video:

  1. Why would you like to attend an independent school? What qualities are important in your next school/high school?
  2. What are you like as a student?
  3. What are your extracurricular and summer commitments?
  4. What do you do for fun?
  5. What are you curious about?
  6. What do you wish more people knew about you?
  7. Anything else you want to share?

You may use any preferred video platform but please make sure the link is publicly viewable. The submission deadline for a video introduction is January 15.

If you don’t want to submit a video, that’s OK. Applicants will not be penalized for opting out of submitting a video. It is truly an optional video.
